It was hot and humid but we were told that it was the rainy season and to take an umbrella
wherever we went. By 2 pm the sky was very dark and it was raining. It looked like evening. By 3 pm it had eased and we went for a walk around the area. Peter had a sore toe so after a while we went back to the hotel. It was very pleasant to relax after a very hectic holiday so far.

We ate in the hotel restaurant and chose a selection of dishes to try small portions of various foods. We had scallop with fresh fruit salad (absolutely delicious), double-boiled shark's fin soup with chicken (OK), stewed whole abalone with goose web and kale (the abolone was OK, the goose web was a goose foot with the web between the toes and we disliked this), pan-fried king prawn (good), noodles with shredded abalone and soy sauce (cold and OK) and finally fresh pumpkin sago with ice cream and black glutinous rice (good).
