We went to the International Antarctic Centre. There was a lot of information to read but also 3 films to watch. We went into a wind storm room where we had to put on thick jackets and rubber overshoes to protect ourselves from the snow and ice on the ground as it was -8C. The wind then began and the wind chill factor dropped the apparent temperature to -18C.
