After passing through Scotswood, when we were in the country again, we saw an echidna foraging on the grass verge. Unfortunately it waddled away before we could take a photo.

We arrived at the campsite, about 20 mins outside Launceston, at 5 pm.

For dinner we had 'Kanga Bangas'. These were very gamey.

After dinner we headed back to Launceston to look at the Gorge which we had been told was lit at night. We walked down the gorge whilst it was still light and returned when it was dark. It looked wonderful with the lights on the rocks and the reflections in the still water. There were a lot of insects flying in the lights and leaving white light behind them as they whizzed along. Quite spectacular. As we left the area we saw a wallaby and, we think, a possum up a tree.
