Friday 13 November
Cathy had arranged for us to stay in the Margaret River area for the weekend.
We took the highway out of Perth. This was two lanes in each direction but with a railway line together with stations running down the central reservation.
We stopped at Fairbridge where Cathy and Alison had first come to when she emigrated to Australia. It had started as an orphanage but at that time it took single parent emigrants. Now it works with under privileged children. We saw the house that Alison had lived in for a term. There was a superb mural on the kitchen wall of one house.
