On the way back to the camp site we went up Mount Wellington which overlooks Hobart. We knew there was a viewpoint but did not expect to drive to the very top of the mountain at 1270 m. The centre of Hobart is only 20 km away and is at sea level.

It was extremely windy and cold at the top and at one point it even snowed. Fortunately there was a lookout building. The views were stupendous.
