On the way back to June and Dick's house we drove through part of the area which had been destroyed in the terrible bush fires last February. The total area of the fires was the equivalent of the whole of Southern England up to the Wash!

The trees were beginning to regenerate with green shoots showing up the trunks and main branches. The undergrowth had also regrown so it was hard to believe how bad it had been.
