We didn't look around the ruined buildings but did watch a short film about the area.

We also went on a short cruise into the immediate harbour where we were told and saw Dead Island (the colony graveyard) and also the area where there was the first British boys prison. They were sent here from the age of 8 for crimes such as stealing a coat.
