After lunch we drove part way up the other side of the lake and visited a salmon farm. There is a canal which runs from Lake Tekapo to the power station at Lake Pukaki and this is where the farm is situated. We were given food for the salmon and they eat this in a frenzy. On the way out we bought some salmon, which was very lean because the canal is very fast flowing, and very reasonable in price - $12.90 for a side of salmon.
