After lunch we walked to the Skyline Gondola station and took the cable car up to the top from where there were superb views of Queenstown, the lake and The Remarkables mountain range. There was a band of cloud two thirds of the way up The Remarkables which stubbornly stayed there for most of the time we were up there.
