At Mossburn we turned up towards Queenstown. The views from Kingston, at the bottom of Lake Wakatipu would have been fabulous on a sunny day but it was misty. We stopped for elevenses a little way up the lake at The Devil's Staircase but there was no information about the name. However the mist had cleared so the views were good. The road hugged the lake up to the outskirts of Queenstown.
